Overview
The NC2030 project is a creative educational and communication program which endeavors to understand how North Carolinians view emerging technologies. The project will initiate public discussions, among non-scientists across the state, by presenting scenarios in an illustrated format, from the near future. These small-group discussions will provide information that will help the state, educators and others gauge the public’s current level of education about and attitude towards technology. This will aid in developing more targeted education and outreach training programs and will potentially inform legislators who make crucial decisions about technology in their area of the state. The project can also reveal new ways in which RENCI could partner with the state on technology development to help North Carolina citizens and to serve state needs.
