Software

The Renaissance Computing Institute produces a number of open source software products. Users who download and install this software are subject to the requirements of the RENCI Open Source Software License.  Our site also offers software developed by the Pablo Research Group from the Department of Computer Science, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Pablo tools are distributed under the Pablo Project Software License Agreement. Both licenses may apply to some tools. Please review the licenses carefully.

The Pablo Research Group started in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the direction of Professor Dan Reed (former RENCI director). The group investigates the interaction of architecture, system software, and applications on large-scale parallel and distributed computer systems. It created SvPablo, a graphical environment for instrumenting application source code and browsing dynamic performance data. Key research foci are exploration of performance analysis techniques and compiler-aided scalability analysis, scalable parallel file systems, and real-time adaptive systems for resource policy control. The following Pablo software tools are available on the RENCI website. For more on Pablo and svPablo, see the svPablo project pages.
