RENO, Nev., Nov. 14 — RENCI Director Dan Reed was named winner of the 2007 Community Recognition Award by the editors of HPCwire, the leading publication of the high performance computing community.

A Birds of a Feather session at SC07 will examine U.S. research initiatives, their focus and how they need to change in order to ensure that important scientific questions are answered and that the nation maintains a global leadership position science and technology.
