This state-of-the-art facility gives RENCI the chance to collaborate with UNC faculty and to leverage their expertise for existing and new RENCI projects. For UNC faculty, RENCI at UNC Chapel Hill means the chance to utilize RENCI advanced technologies, computing resources and expertise to catalyze new multidisciplinary research opportunities.
RENCI at UNC Chapel Hill provides the integrated computing and information infrastructure needed to support major new collaborative research projects at UNC, including Topsail, RENCI’s Dell cluster computer, the main research computing resource for UNC faculty and currently the 25th most powerful unclassified system in the world.
RENCI at UNC Chapel Hill also complements and supports RENCI’s statewide mission of building partnerships and using advanced technologies to address issues important to North Carolina’s future and its economic competitiveness.
RENCI Engagement Center at UNC Chapel Hill
RENCI will host an open house for its new engagement center on Thursday, Feb. 7, featuring state-of-the-art visualization technology and collaboration tools.
