For some software packages, you can install a local copy of the software by checking out a license from the license server when invoking the software. [ http://help.unc.edu/?id=4238 ] Science : provides researchers with programming tools and software for a list of scientific disciplines, such as Quantum Chemistry, Molecular Dynamics, Material Science, NMR, X-ray Crystallography, Structural Biology, Bioinformatics, etc.
[ http://help.unc.edu/?id=6226 ] Geographic Information System (GIS) : Research Computing group licenses GIS application for use in teaching and research environments, but our support for the individual software package is limited.
