Instrumented,
I/O-intensive applications that can be used in I/O and file system research
are available below as are I/O trace analyses for
constructing configurable I/O benchmarks. Experimental performance data, captured
from parallel systems using the Pablo performance toolkit and its SDDF (self-defining data format), are
contained in trace files detailing the input/output patterns of the applications listed
below. These I/O patterns have been analyzed and the results summarized into reports which
may be viewed, downloaded, or ordered for delivery on DVD or CD-ROM.
Each entry in the list below is linked to a page describing the application, which was instrumented and analysed using Pablo tools. These pages include a brief, high-level explanation of the purpose of the application and information about the configuration of the system that generated the data. You can download a copy of the instrumented source code, browse a listing of the available analyses for the code through which you may request that copies of the code, documentation, and/or analyses by sent to you on DVD or CD-ROM.
